English, Foreign Language, & Arts
Robin Wright has taught for 40 years, mostly in public high schools in Kentucky, Florida, and Tennessee. She has presented content in English 1, 2, 3, 4; AP Language; Journalism (both newspaper and yearbook); Reading; Mythology; Science Fiction; Theater Arts; and Spanish 1; but, mostly, she has taught teenagers.
After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University, Robin taught in ESL in Germany for awhile, After moving back to the states, she taught at Oldham County High School while attending the University of Louisville, earning an M.Ed. with a concentration in English.
Moving to south Florida, she taught at Palm Beach Gardens High School for 20 years, then moved to Tennessee, teaching at Walker Valley High School for the last 13+ years of her career. Here she first started teaching Theater Arts and took over the Drama Club, one of the greatest joys of her career – maybe her life.
Robin retired in May 2019 but still keeps up with her students and with educational developments. Now she has time to read as much as she likes (a lot!) and play with her dogs and travel (once travel is open again), and bake for her husband and neighbors.
