Jeanette Eisenberg is excited to be wrapping up her 8th year as a chemistry teacher and 1st year as a Zoom science teacher at Evergreen High School in Seattle, WA. Jeanette received her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois. During college, she collaborated with the Orpheum Children’s Science Museum to start the Girls Do Science Club in the Champaign-Urbana community. While working as a budget analyst for the Illinois Governor’s Office of Management in elementary and secondary education, she gained an awareness of the funding limitations that plague education. This experience, combined with her passion for science education, was the catalyst for pursuing a teaching career. Jeanette pursued her teaching certification through the Boston Teacher Residency program and received her M.Ed. from University of Massachusetts Boston in 2013. Jeanette taught for three years Boston before moving to Seattle. Originally from Illinois, Jeanette enjoys spending time outdoors paddle boarding and rock climbing.
