Liz graduated in 2001 from Bucknell University with a major in English and a minor in Education. She worked in publishing for a few years before realizing that her heart was really in the classroom. She moved to Maine and received a master’s in Literacy from the University of Southern Maine in 2004. 

Liz currently teaches English at Maranacook High School in Readfield, Maine and is currently completing a C.A.S. in Writing and the Teaching of Writing through the University of Maine, Orono. She is a Teaching Consultant with the Maine Writing Project and served as a mentor in 2016 and an institute co-director in 2020.
