Brittany Gore

Brittany graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science. She holds Masters degrees from Georgetown University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in Italian Studies and in Learning, Design and Technology. Her research has focused on study abroad program design and assessment, and the integration of online courses to support intercultural learning. 

Before returning to graduate school, Brittany served as the Grants and Development Manager at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where she launched and stewarded the school’s Technology Council, and managed new and existing relationships with corporate and institutional donors. Previously, Brittany has held roles in both internal and external communications capacities that served clients from different industries including aerospace, finance and education, which all ultimately led her back to higher ed. 

Born in Connecticut, Brittany grew up in the Washington, DC area. In her spare time, Brittany is a junior board member of the local organization, Hope for Henry, which operates from the understanding that emotional and physical well-being are connected, and works to improve the experience of hospitalized children and their families. She is also a board member of The Marshall Project, a bi-partisan newsroom focused on raising the issue of Criminal Justice. She enjoys giving private Italian language lessons to students of all ages, running, and spending time with her family.
